Editorial & Publishing Policies

Peer Review Process

Evaluating authors’ scholarly work for suitability of publication under close scrutiny of multiple experts is an important process of JSMCentral. Manuscripts undergoing peer review process help publisher to decide if the work must be accepted, rejected or re-revised. The process is followed without fail to closely evaluate, accuracy, significance & novelty of the publishing content. Peer Review Process here in JSMCentral follow the series of guidelines provided by COPE to closely evaluate each of the received manuscripts.

Pre-Peer Review

A paper before passing to initial peer-review moves to an appropriate journal handling editor, who determines whether it meets fundamental criteria for: plagiarism check via a paid third party tool, scope of the Journal & missing content in the Manuscript.

Peer Review

JSMCentral adapts a double blind peer review process for a smooth, unbiased evaluation of the scientific content. The process is usually completed within 7-21 days and very rarely delayed depending upon the availability of the editors and consulting peer review experts as they are also actively involved in their own research and other commencing commitments.

At JSMCentral the editorial board and reviewers evaluate closely on some of the main aspects such as originality, significance, writing/language/readability/understandability, methodology, hypothesis, relevance and references cited.

Once the manuscript is completed with the pre-peer review process it is then approved for the peer review process. This manuscript is assigned for the evaluation to the Editor who indeed recommends reviewers for assignment. Further the comments are revised closely and returned for the final recommendation. If the revisions are addressed and satisfy the international standards of scientific publishing, Editor takes a decision of acceptance, rejection or re-revisions.

Post Peer Review

Post Peer Review, the accepted manuscripts are moved to Proofread and web departments for final conversion of online/web versions. Authors are solely responsible to carefully proofread the published article and corrections are then returned to the journal handling members for error-free web-version.

Peer Reviews for Publications by Editors

As the Editors are closely involved in research relevant to the Journal, the manuscripts submitted to the Journal are evaluated by external Peer Review Experts. Multiple review comments upon addressing are accepted upon the recommendation by those external review experts. To avoid conflicts the final decisions on editorial board Manuscript acceptance will be made independently.
